Samsung shows off Ativ S in official hands-on videos
Samsung has recently released two videos showing
off the features of the highly anticipated Windows Phone 8 Ativ S.
Those eagerly waiting for the handset can learn about the features of
this handset from these videos before it hits shelves across the globe.
Samsung shows off the body of the smartphone along with some of the highlighted features of the Ativ S. The video also previews some of its specifications such as the 8MP camera and microSD card slot. This video in summation is basically about the design and software of the Ativ S.
In the second video, Samsung talks about the social media and camera capabilities of the Ativ S. The video speaks about the People application and its ability to show a user the convenience of keeping tabs on all the people in their lives through all the various social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Speaking about the camera capabilities, Samsung states that accessing the camera is very convenient; it can be activated using the dedicated camera button at the side or by launching the camera tile. Samsung has also added a wide range of manual settings in the camera, which can be great for advanced users.
At the IFA 2012 event in August, Samsung had shown the world its Windows Phone 8 smartphone called the ATIV S. Apart from these specifications, it will also feature sensors such as an accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass.
Commenting on this smartphone from its Windows Phone stable, Samsung says, “Samsung ATIV S is a new smartphone for both work and entertainment featuring Windows Phone 8. ATIV S brings a stunning hairline design and high performance with a range of content-sharing and productivity options.”
At the announcement, Samsung’s Executive Vice President of IT Solutions Business, Seong Woo Nam said, “Samsung is delighted to introduce a wide portfolio of Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8-powered devices.
